Kenny

MALE
LAB MIX
AGE: 6 MONTHS

Meet our foster pup, Kenny who is ready for his furever family. Kenny is an approximately 6-month-old lab mix.  He has a beautiful golden, silvery coat and striking caramel-colored eyes.  Kenny loves everyone he meets including humans (adults and children) and dogs, and boy is the feeling mutual.  Kenny recently took a trip to Home Depot where he met lots of people, one of whom said she wanted to take him home.  Kenny has also become a favorite at the vets’ office where everyone knows his name and can’t help but shower him with pets, kisses and toys. Everyone Kenny has met has described him as a good boy, which is one of his favorite things to hear. Kenny sits on command and politely sits for his meals. Kenny also comes when called, even when it’s a 6-year-old calling him. Potty training has been a success as Kenny has begun going to the back door and intently staring at us when he needs to go outside. Kenny has been on lots of walks. He wears a harness and pulls on occasion, but mostly needs to be pulled to keep walking, rather than sniffing endlessly.  Kenny is the ultimate snuggle bug.  He is crate trained during the day but prefers the fosters’ bed at night.  He’s too big to be a lap dog, but that is not going to stop him from trying.  He’ll also nuzzle close to you when he gets cold, tucking his nose in wherever he finds warmth. Kenny loves playing fetch and is getting so good at bringing the ball back and letting you have. He plays fetch with his 6-year-old foster sister. Kenny doesn’t like when his foster pup siblings don’t want to play with him. He barks in an attempt to engage them.  Kenny is not a fan of car rides. We are working on this by taking him on shorter trips or letting him sit in the car without going anywhere. Kenny’s poor tummy just doesn’t do well with the movement of the car. If you’re interested in this good boy, apply today at thelabconnection.org/adopt, or if you are approved and want to meet him, let TLC know.
